On Sunday, 27 October 2024, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue made a powerful showing at this year’s Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) and MCM 10K, with ten dedicated runners raising an impressive $8,496.20 to save animals in need.

Lucky Dog is thrilled to announce that after 1,263 days Noel has found her forever home. Noel spent three years in foster care waiting for the perfect fit. Her rescue is now a story featured in People. Noel was rescued by Lucky Dog when she was pregnant in 2020.

UPDATE: This weekend, Lucky Dog welcomed in 88 animals impacted but Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. 

At 11 am yesterday, 13 dogs arrived from Texas -- shelter dog survivors of Hurricane Harvey who had no homes before the storm -- and even less chance after the storm.

On August 26th, 2020 Lucky Dog Animal Rescue teamed up with the Petco Foundation, Wings of Rescue, and Houston PetSet to coordinate a massive airplane evacuation in advance of Hurricane Laura, evacuating more than 130 cats and dogs from the storm’s path.

This Wednesday, September 12, 2018, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue evacuated more than 50 Lucky Dogs and Cats from the path of Hurricane Florence. After the van's alternator failed, the rescue community took time out of their own hurricane preparations to save our Lucky Dogs and Cats.

This past weekend, 18 Lucky Dog volunteers visited our rescue partners in Puerto Rico as part of our 4th annual visit (our first after Hurricane Maria). On our first day, we visited PR Animals' Pet Village where our volunteers helped clean, walk and feed dogs and cats. Lucky Dog also announced our ongoing sponsorship of 5 kennels.
