In 2023, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue opened our South Carolina Rescue Campus. Phase 1 includes the Verstanding Family Foundation Vet Clinic, the The Lazin Animal Foundation Infectious Disease ICU, the JR Peterson Ringworm Treatment Center, and Stopover Station. The campus is a place where dogs and cats receive the highest standard of care, even if they're suffering from deadly diseases. It's a safe place where animals have time to get out of local high kill shelters while they prepare for their journey to Washington, D.C. and their forever homes.
Volunteer In South Carolina
To save as many dogs & cats as possible, while keeping our costs down, we welcome volunteers seven days a week to the Rescue Campus. Volunteers help with everything from dog walking, to cat socialization, to laundry help, and data entry. Your compassion and dedication can make a real difference. By volunteering with Lucky Dog Animal Rescue, you're not just helping animals; you're part of a community committed to creating happy endings for pets in need.

Foster In South Carolina
Even though we have kennel space, we still need fosters, particularly for puppies and kittens. By taking in a foster pet, you’re freeing up space at our facility, allowing us to rescue more animals in need. The more fosters we have, the more lives we can save from overcrowded shelters.
