On August 26th, 2020 Lucky Dog Animal Rescue teamed up with the Petco Foundation, Wings of Rescue, and Houston PetSet to coordinate a massive airplane evacuation in advance of Hurricane Laura, evacuating more than 130 cats and dogs from the storm’s path.
When Mr. and Mrs. Grant Verstandig agreed to sponsor a relief flight from Puerto Rico to save 62 dogs and cats with no local adoption options, Lucky Dog had 3 days to pull a flight together!
This Labor Day, September 2, 2019, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue evacuated 19 Lucky Dogs from the path of Hurricane Dorian.
This Wednesday, September 12, 2018, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue evacuated more than 50 Lucky Dogs and Cats from the path of Hurricane Florence.
