Lucky Dog Animal Rescue Brings Adoptable Pets in Need of Loving Homes During PetSmart Charities National Adoption Week

To celebrate 30 years of in store adoptions, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue & PetSmart Charities encourage pet lovers to make room in their hearts and homes for an adopted pet.

March 15, 2024 – Washington, DC: In partnership with PetSmart Charities Lucky Dog Animal Rescue (“Lucky Dog”) will bring adoptable pets to two PetSmart locations in support of National Adoption Week, taking place Saturday, March 23rd from 12-2PM at PetSmart in Alexandria and Sunday March 24th from 12-3PM at PetSmart in Silver Spring.

During these two in-store events, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue invites pet lovers to come meet adoptable dogs and cats looking for forever homes. As part of its 30th Anniversary Celebration, PetSmart Charities is celebrating its 30th anniversary and encourages people to consider finding room in their hearts and homes for pets like Noel and Zahara.

Noel just rang in her 3rd year with Lucky Dog in January 2024. She is still patiently waiting for a forever home of her own. A shy girl who takes s bit of time to warm up, she would really like to find an adoptive family that will feed her lots of cheese and that has a calm, confident resident dog to show her the ropes. We know the perfect home is out there for her – could you give Noel a chance?

Zahara is one of Lucky Dog’s hidden gems. An Instagram star at @dc.fostercatbnb, Zahara’s fosters can attest that although initially shy, Zahara is quick to display her loving and sweet personality in the home – she even lives with human toddlers.
