Petco Love and Lucky Dog Animal Rescue Celebrate A Year of Lifesaving Milestones in South Carolina

As Part of Petco Love’s Lifesaving Investment, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue Marks a Record-Breaking 2025 Supporting Local South Carolina Area Pets
Florence, SC (December 1st, 2025) — Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is celebrating a transformative year of community impact, made possible through a generous grant from Petco Love. This partnership has empowered Lucky Dog to expand its footprint in South Carolina, providing critical medical care, essential resources, and long-term infrastructure to support the region’s pets and the people who love them.
In 2025, the support from Petco Love and the local community allowed Lucky Dog to reach unprecedented milestones:
- Advanced Medical Care: Conducted 53 dental cleanings and 78 specialized surgeries, while treating more than 40 cats for ringworm.
- Population Control: Successfully spayed and neutered 985 cats and 1,423 dogs.
- Lifesaving Impact: Housed 3,877 dogs and cats at our South Carolina Rescue Campus
- Lifesaving Transport: Safely transported 1,555 animals to Lucky Dog’s adoption program in Northern Virginia, ensuring they find loving forever homes.
