Lucky Dog Animal Rescue Partners with BISSELL Pet Foundation to Save At-Risk Dogs BISSELL Pet Foundation rescues more than 170 dogs surrendered from commercial breeders.

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is welcoming 20 dogs from the BISSELL Pet Foundation’s commercial breeder rescue mission. These dogs will be arriving at our Florence, SC Campus on August 3rd, and will likely be available for adoption in the DC Metro Area after August 10th, 2024. Information on the individual dogs being rescued will be available after August 2nd.

BISSELL Pet Foundation is partnering with National Mill Dog Rescue to rescue more than 170 dogs. The operation was initiated following multiple surrenders of puppies and adult dogs from commercial breeders. BISSELL Pet Foundation’s support includes funding for medical support, boots-on-the-ground aid from foundation staff and animal welfare industry experts, transport and placement. The foundation is able to react quickly during a crisis, mobilizing its Animal Incident Management team. The dogs will be examined by veterinarians, vaccinated and provided with health certificates so they can be placed within the foundation’s national shelter and rescue partner network through ground transport.

Ground and air transports to Lucky Dog’s Rescue Campus in Florence, SC  are taking place on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024.

Where

Dogs are being cared for at the National Mill Dog Rescue in Missouri and will arrive inFlorence, South Carolina Saturday afternoon (exact arrival times and updates available upon request as we know more on the day of transport).
