Who:

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue believes every animal deserves a second chance, and that the most effective way to reduce homelessness is to prevent it before it begins. By expanding access to affordable spay/neuter services, Lucky Dog is investing in proactive, community-based solutions that keep pets healthy, in homes, and out of shelters.

As a dedicated volunteer-powered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are committed to rescuing homeless and at-risk dogs and cats and supporting pet parents to keep families together. Our foster-based program in the Washington, DC metro provides a safe and nurturing environment until our dogs and cats find their forever homes, and our one-of-a-kind rescue campus in South Carolina ensures pets receive the medical care they need before entering our foster program. With no state or federal funding, 100% of our lifesaving work depends on the generosity of friends and supporters.
