WHAT:
In celebration of National Dog Day (Monday, August 26), The Darcy Hotel, one of DC’s most pet-friendly properties, is partnering with Lucky Dog Animal Rescue to host a heartwarming event, "Paws & Promises: A Doggie Wedding Brunch." On Saturday, August 24th at 10 AM the hotel will host a special wedding ceremony on the patio at Gerrard Street Kitchen, where two adoptable pups, lab mixes Sammy and Claudia, will don their best dapper dog attire to say, "I DO."
Sammy will be extra handsome in his black bow tie, while Claudia's fabulous fit will include a white boa and tutu, accessorized with classic pearls. The perfect pup pair will exchange vows in front of a wedding arch, complete with traditional decor, including flowers and balloons. The ceremony will be officiated by the beloved Sherlock of @goodboysherlock. Following the ceremony, guests and locals are invited to a fun-filled, dog-friendly brunch featuring a ‘Good Dog’ menu with specialty dog-tails and treats for the pups, along with delicious brunch items for their paw-rents.
