The list of supplies we always need includes pet food, treats, cleaning supplies, bedding, toys, leashes, collars, and grooming tools. Donating Supplies Is Easy

You can drop off your in kind donations at our main office in Arlington, Virginia, or if you prefer, you can ship donations. We also have partnerships with local pet stores where you can purchase and leave donations directly at designated drop-off points. For larger donations or specific arrangements, please contact us directly so we can assist you further.

Commonly Needed Supplies

Below is a list of some of the most common items we need at Lucky Dog.

  • Crates 36" or smaller (Both wire and plastic)
  • Leashes and collars
  • Dog food
  • Cat food
  • Treats
  • Toys
  • Food and water bowls (no porcelain please)
  • Paper towels
  • Bleach
  • Clean bath and hand towels (no washcloths please)

We Cannot Accept The Following

  • Rugs
  • Pillows
  • Bed sheets
  • Any collars or leashes in poor condition
  • Rawhides
  • Crates larger than 36", that don't collapse or break down and/or are in poor condition
  • Any non dog or cat items
  • Prong collars, choke chains, shock collars
  • Dirty or well used toys

Donate A Thundershirt

Thundershirts are helping shelters and rescue groups across the country to manage the dogs they receive with anxiety, fear and excitement issues. Your Thundershirt donation will be put to excellent use helping to transition one of our wonderful dogs back to a forever home.
